Tri-Heart Plus is a competing product to the popular 犬新寶 that claims to have the same efficacy, and uses the same amount of the same active ingredients (Ivermectin and Pyrantel Pamoate).
These monthly oral treatments provide protection against the development of heartworm disease. As with all heartworm treatments, your dog should first be tested for existing heartworm, as administering a preventative treatment to a heartworm-positive dog may be dangerous.
Tri-Heart Plus and Heartgard Plus also protect your dog from roundworm and hookworm.
Both Tri-Heart Plus and Heartgard Plus may be given to dogs and puppies as young as 6 weeks of age, with no weight restrictions. However, it is important that you choose the correct dosage for your dog’s body weight. Both of these heartworm treatments have been tested as safe for use on pregnant or nursing dogs.
Top tip: Once pets develop heartworm it can be very hard to treat, so prevention is always better than cure. Compare the major brands of heartworm preventatives.
